Here comes the most affordable octa-core chipset smartphone in the country

Here comes the most affordable octa-core chipset smartphone
in the country
Smartphones are getting cheaper by the day and yet they have managed to be powerful. The likes of Xiaomi and Motorola catapulted this trend. If you look at the market right now, the number of brands that are available in India cannot be counted on hand.

Remember the brand called Fly? Well, that's the name of the company, which has now taken octa-core under the affordable wing. They have introduced two eight-core powered smartphones in the country under the Qik branding and priced starting from Rs 5,999 and it doesn't get any cheaper than this.

While Redmi 1S became the benchmark for most brands in this price segment but now with an octa-core phone becoming reality, it's safe to say that 'sky is the limit'. Feature wise, there's not much to differentiate between what's available in the market and what the Qik series offers but consumers would be pleased to see the price coming down drastically.

The Qik and Qik+ sport 4.5-inch and 5-inch (HD) display, running on Android 4.4 KitKat with promised Lollipop update in the near future. These come powered by Mediatek octa-core CPU paired with 1GB RAM and offering 8GB expandable storage. Imaging wise you also get upgraded to 13MP (rear) and 5 MP (front) snappers and for this price, you can't be anymore greedy.

In addition to cheapest octa-core devices, the company has also added an entry-level quad-core phone called Fly Snap. The company has decided to take the well-trodden online route by joining hands with Snapdeal to sell the Qik series and Snap smartphone.
